COVID-19 Letter to Customers

Dear valued customer,

With the news dominated by Coronavirus, COVID-19 Pandemic Status, we wanted to let you know that Odyssey Aviation is carefully implementing heightened protocols to ensure your utmost safety.

First and foremost, in the aviation industry our #1 priority is, and has always been, the safety and well-being of our visiting guests, flight crews, the Bahamian community and our team members.

Regarding the spread of the virus, we are closely monitoring the most up-to-the-minute guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), The Bahamas Ministry of Health (BMOH), Transportation Security Association (TSA), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA). Our focus is to ensure the actions we are taking are comprehensive and appropriate and will meet our customers’ needs and keep our employees safe.

The BMOH announced the first suspected case of COVID-19 on March 15th, 2020. The United States CDC has not issued any health notices restricting travel to and from The Bahamas, at this time. The Government of The Bahamas has implemented border control and quarantine measures; effective Thursday, March 19th Foreign nationals and foreign individuals who have travelled within the last 20 days from the United Kingdom, Ireland and Europe will be prohibited entry into The Bahamas. This is in addition to restrictions already in place for China, Iran, Italy and South Korea. This restricted travel list of countries will be continuously monitored and updated as necessary. All other visitors are being screened by the government at all The Bahamas ports of entry.

Odyssey Aviation remains committed to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness across the entire business. As guided by the CDC and WHO, we have enhanced our already robust cleaning techniques for all equipment throughout our entire buildings at Odyssey Aviation’s FBO locations in Nassau- MYNN, Exuma- MYEF and San Salvador- MYSM.

In addition, we are taking steps to ensure the welfare of our employees. For employees who feel well and have no symptoms, we urge them to continue to practice good respiratory hygiene at all times, drink lots of fluids and maintain diligent hand washing, which is the best way to prevent transmission of viruses such as coronavirus or flu. In the event of an employee feeling unwell and have symptoms of the virus (dry cough, breathlessness or fever of 38°C / 100.4°F or above) we will advise them to stay at home and consult their healthcare providers, also contact the government COVI-19 Hotline Numbers 376-9350 or 376-9387.

We want you to know that you can continue to rely on Odyssey Aviation, and the next time we have the privilege of welcoming you to Odyssey Aviation and The Bahamas, you can be assured of our commitment to providing a safe and secure environment.

We appreciate your business and we truly appreciate the trust that you place in our team and our company, thank you for your loyalty and please stay healthy!

Best regards,

Steven K. Kelly,
President Odyssey Aviation Bahamas.
